What Services Are Included in Comprehensive Health Insurance: Minister Presents
The Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "In the comprehensive health insurance system that we propose, there will be a package of basic services, which I present below for children under 18 years of age (the package for adults will be presented in a separate post)."
1. Outpatient medical assistance and service, including:
- Consultation with a local doctor, and if necessary, consultations with specialists upon referral and referral for laboratory and instrumental diagnostic examinations based on medical indications, including special and hard-to-reach laboratory-instrumental diagnostic studies,
- Specialized consultations during pregnancy monitoring and mandatory laboratory-instrumental diagnostic examinations,
- Emergency medical assistance services, including air ambulance,
- Dental medical assistance,
- Care services for children with mental and physical issues,
- Provision of medications listed in the basic medicines list and prescribed by the local doctor in case of diseases.
2. State care health services, including:
- Immunization,
- Preventive medical assistance, mandatory medical examinations, and laboratory-instrumental diagnostic examinations,
- Medical assistance services for intestinal and other infectious diseases,
- Medical assistance services for tuberculosis,
- Medical assistance services for HIV/AIDS,
- Medical assistance services for mental and addiction-related illnesses,
- Hemodialysis services.
3. Hospital care and service, including:
- Reanimation and intensive therapy services for newborns,
- Reanimation and emergency medical assistance services in case of chronic disease exacerbations,
- Treatment of cardiovascular diseases, including cardiac surgery, arrhythmology, endovascular surgery,
- Surgical interventions and radiation therapy services for malignant neoplasms, as well as chemotherapy medical assistance,
- Obstetrics and neonatal care services,
- Pediatric and neonatal surgeries, general, vascular, maxillofacial, endocrine, thoracic, ophthalmological, orthopedic and traumatological, neurosurgical, microsurgical, gynecological, ear, nose, and throat, urological, and proctological surgeries.
