On December 13, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Ararat province. At approximately 21:40, the Masis police department received a report indicating that there were footprints on the window of a house on Fourth Street in Ayntap village. Residents surrounded the house due to suspicions that a burglar was inside.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police and citizens conducted surveillance around nearly all suspicious areas of the house where the burglar could escape. Upon entering the house, they discovered that everything had been turned upside down and apprehended the burglar inside.
It was revealed that the resident of the house, 50-year-old Gevorg Gevorgyan, was not home at the time with his family, and the burglar had taken advantage of this opportunity to attempt to rob the house.
According to reports, the burglar is 46-year-old Ishak Azaryan, registered on Tigran Mets Avenue in Yerevan, who has been previously convicted six times. In prison, he is better known by the nickname 'Berd's Kraper.' In an interview with the photojournalist, Azaryan claimed that he did not enter the house with the intent to commit theft but rather was tired and had gone inside to sleep.
