New Details: Father of Child Transferred to Arabkir Medical Center Assaults Doctor

The communication service of the Arabkir Medical Center reports that on December 11 of this year, parents arrived at the emergency room of the Arabkir Medical Complex with a child who had a high fever and febrile seizures. During the medical assistance provided by the staff, the child's father exhibited aggressive behavior, breaking the glass on the doctor's desk, damaging the surgical reception door, and tearing up another patient's medical file that was on the table. The situation was mitigated by the hospital and security staff.

The child was transferred to the intensive care unit for further treatment. The next day, around noon, the parents were invited to the head of the intensive care unit's office to receive information about the child's condition, in accordance with the procedures of the Arabkir Medical Complex. During this time, the father uttered inappropriate words directed at the head of the department and struck the doctor in the face, resulting in physical injury to the physician. The incident has been reported to the Arabkir police.

The Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, also reacted to the incident. He wrote on his Facebook page, 'There is no justification for such acts. Any act of violence, I repeat, any such incident against medical workers should be condemned tenfold more, because the victim is saving lives, including those of the assailant or their relatives. I call upon law enforcement to identify the guilty parties and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.'

To provide a complete picture of the matter, we are publishing screenshots of some parents' comments underneath the minister's post. We hope that the minister has read all the responses.
