I Will Not Throw Stones at Every Barking Dog: Khachatur Sukiasyan's Response to Ruben Hayrapetyan's Interview
“In recent days, a media assault against me culminated last night when a well-known person attempted to mislead the public in a news studio and was occupied with spreading cheap lies. Listening to the advice of my friends and close ones, I will now respond point by point to all the baseless accusations.” This is what businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“The person who was boasting last night is known for their many false accusations and is a slanderous character. They have spent their whole life doing just that. To reach some level, they have always ‘thrown others under the bus’ as well as flattered the important figures of the time. Those who have had at least some connection with this person are familiar with their type.
I warn this person, and I advise others friendly to refrain from interfering in family matters. Let everyone keep their own family matters to themselves. I do not wish to respond to the gossip regarding their wife, as it is not my concern. I return their words to them 50 times over, yet I remain restrained. Both the citizens and I know who I am and who they are.
Regarding the statements made about the ‘Bjni’ factory, I must say that our lawyers and accountants are already dealing with this matter. Our team of lawyers and accountants will present all the information about the factory in the near future: what volume of production has taken place, how much has been exported, how much tax has been paid, and so on. What was presented yesterday is false and does not correspond to reality. It is also false that I have been negotiated with to return the factory. I cannot negotiate in a realm that is outside the legal framework.
There is also an important topic I want to emphasize: I maintain that Serzh Sargsyan has never been a good friend. To clarify, by saying ‘good friend,’ I do not mean myself; he has never been my friend. By ‘good friend,’ I do not mean those who share a table of ordinary food and drinks; I do not mean mundane details. Serzh Sargsyan has not been a good friend to all those people who were foundational in the creation of this country, who were engaged in state-building. Serzh Sargsyan reached his positions thanks to those friends from the ‘90s, whom he later forgot.
Beloved friends, acquaintances, and countrymen, I ask you all to ignore all rumors and slanders. I will not throw stones at every barking dog.”
