Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Visas in CIS Territories Suspended

The member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have already ratified the protocols indicating that the agreement on mutual recognition of visas in the territories of member states is no longer in effect. This was reported by RusArminfo.

The agreement was signed by Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. The document had allowed people to travel within the participating countries using a visa issued by one of them.

The agreement was initially signed in 1992; however, in 2014, the parties decided to suspend its action. The ratification process took five years, and now all countries have ratified the protocol to annul the agreement.
