We Have Indeed Had a Turbulent Political Year: Edmon Marukyan
We have indeed had a turbulent political year, stated Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the ‘Bright Armenia’ faction, during today’s session of the National Assembly.
“A year has passed in the Parliament, and I believe we all feel the responsibility on our shoulders. I want to say that in any criticism, in any bickering, in emotional parliamentary debates, personal matters should not be sought. We must only look for inquiries aimed at the state’s interests,” he said, also congratulating troops and commanders for the New Year and Christmas.
National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, for his part, noted that he agrees with this statement, adding that this is not the last session of the year, and an extraordinary session of the National Assembly will be convened on December 19 at 11:00 am.
The agenda for the session includes a package of legislative proposals on amendments and changes to the law on local referendums and the law on local self-government (second reading).
