‘Jhoghovurd’. I Will Do Everything to Keep Our Society Free from the Influence of Dangerous Propaganda – Vanetsyan

‘Jhoghovurd’ newspaper writes.  Former Director of the National Security Service of Armenia, Arthur Vanetsyan, has commented on the recent intensified attacks directed at the NSS by certain public figures at the newspaper's request.

Arthur Vanetsyan stated that just because the NSS is bound by official ethics, it does not mean that people can publicly express nonsensical thoughts about its officers. “The current officers of the NSS are bound by official ethics, but I am no longer. I have said this before and will repeat it – regardless of my status, I will always stand by my fellow servicemen. I will never allow fake human rights defenders, individuals serving external agendas, and the networks they have created to harm the security of our state in any way. I will do everything to keep our society free from the influence of their dangerous propaganda. This is our home, our homeland,” said the former NSS director.

When we asked him how he assesses the current operations of the NSS, Arthur Vanetsyan replied: “The National Security Service of Armenia continues to solve the tasks before it with honor. Despite internal and external upheavals, the NSS is still the institution that bears the extremely heavy and responsible burden of ensuring the security of the Armenian state and the entire people. The best serve there, selflessly and honorably confronting all internal and external challenges.”
