HHD Supreme Body Issues Statement
The recent resolution by the U.S. Senate concerning the prevention of genocides and justice is both historic and unprecedented, marking the first time the issue of genocide has entered the Senate's discussion agenda in the history of the United States. The U.S. Senate has affirmed its political will and commitment to the prevention of genocides and the restoration of justice. This statement was released by the HHD Supreme Body.
“The crime committed by Turkey against the Armenian people is receiving a historic assessment, proving that the civilized world does not tolerate crimes against humanity and genocides. Turkey, which has adopted a policy of denial, is called upon to restore historical justice. It is an undeniable fact that this victory is particularly the result of the long-standing, persistent, and dedicated struggle of the HHD structures operating in the U.S., the Armenian Cause committees, and offices,” the statement reads.
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation's Supreme Body in Armenia welcomes the passage of this resolution by the U.S. Senate, which restores historical justice, and expresses its unwavering support to our organizations and friends working in the United States.
