Artsakh's Security is Not Subject to Compromise: Anna Naghdalyan

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Naghdalyan, stated during today’s press conference that Armenia's position regarding the Artsakh conflict has been clearly articulated. Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan emphasized that our goal is to ensure the realization of the self-determination of the people of Artsakh. Any proposals that do not guarantee the security of the self-determination of the people of Artsakh cannot be acceptable for Armenia.

“Artsakh's security is not subject to compromise,” said the MFA spokesperson.

“In the negotiation process concerning the Artsakh conflict, steps to reinforce trust and reduce risks are paramount for the Armenian side. The meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan that took place in Bratislava in early December was an important step in this regard, and we have a lower level of risks,” noted Naghdalyan.

During the press conference, Anna Naghdalyan also addressed the significant importance of the U.S. Senate's recognition of the Armenian Genocide resolution, stating that the Senate’s adoption of the Armenian Genocide resolution is of great importance in preventing genocides, and this decision is not only encouraging but also timely. Anna Naghdalyan expressed gratitude on behalf of the MFA to the Senate members and active members of the Armenian-American community.
