12th Grade Student Stabs Peer at School No. 184

An extraordinary incident took place in Yerevan on December 12. Around 11:30 AM, the police received a report from the "Astghik" Medical Center that a group of paramedics from Yerevan 1-03 was transporting a boy with diagnosing of "stab wounds to the left shoulder and right side".

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the operational group of the Malatia police department, led by chief Artur Zahrabyan, arrived at the hospital. The police determined that the victim was 17-year-old Arman Y., a student in the 12th grade at School No. 184 in Yerevan.

While the doctors were providing assistance to the injured, officers from the Malatia police's criminal investigation and juvenile affairs units, under the leadership of department head A. Zahrabyan and deputy head Andranik Shahbazyan, established that on the same day, around 11:00 AM, Arman Y. was stabbed by a peer from the same school, 12th grader Aram H.

As a result of explanatory work carried out by Malatia police officers, the suspect Aram H. voluntarily reported to the police. Investigative measures are being prepared by the Malatia investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding the incident. A forensic medical examination has been appointed by the investigator.
