You Can Buy a Plane Ticket: This Law Will No Longer Exist Starting January 1, Prime Minister
During the discussion of the draft law on amendments to the Republic of Armenia's law on "Citizens who have not completed mandatory military service in violation of established procedures," Minister Davit Tonoyan noted that it is proposed to extend the applicability of the law to citizens who have not completed mandatory military service in violation of established procedures and who have reached the age of 27 until December 31, 2019. This will allow them to pay the relevant amount stipulated by law and, upon returning to the homeland, to be exempt from criminal liability.
“Our compatriots who believe that it is not good we are not extending the force of the law have the opportunity to buy a plane ticket, go through the procedures, and celebrate New Year in Armenia. This law will no longer be extended, as it will cease to exist starting January 1, 2020,” the Prime Minister announced.
