Write About Men Too So They Know There Is Someone to Protect Them: Tsolakyan
The Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan addressed the issue of violence against men during the discussion of a bill criminalizing domestic violence at a government meeting.
“Mr. Prime Minister, I am asking Mr. Badalyan if there is anything written regarding men, and he says that women are more vulnerable, so we are writing about women. However, since the situation has changed and continues to change, the term 'men' should sometimes be emphasized, as violence against men has also increased,” the minister stated.
The Prime Minister also noted that this issue is included and pointed out that gender-based violence is unacceptable. “No, without joking, this also applies to men,” said Pashinyan. Tsolakyan responded, “No, I am not saying anything else, just sometimes write that men should know that there is someone to protect them.”
