Woman Voluntarily Got into Husband’s Car to See Son: Investigative Committee
The Investigative Committee has provided details to SHANTNEWS.am in response to human rights defender Zara Hovhannisyan's alarm regarding a woman sheltered at their center, who was reportedly abducted by her husband, sparking concerns for her life.
“In the context of a criminal case concerning violence being investigated by the Artik investigative division of the Kotayk Regional Investigative Department, a confrontation between the woman and her husband took place today. After the confrontation procedures were concluded, the woman, who participated in the investigative actions, got into her husband’s car along with their son and left.
As a result of the measures undertaken, it should be noted that the woman has currently been located and is at the Artik division of the police. She has stated that she voluntarily got into the car to see her son and left with her husband. The woman did not report any incidents of abduction, violence, or actions against her will to law enforcement,” the Investigative Committee informed.
