“What success, achievements do we have today, all contrary to the state governance system,” said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan angrily during a cabinet meeting discussing the strategic program for the development and improvement of the governance of the Republic of Armenia's State Revenue Committee for 2020-2024, which had raised disputes between Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan and Minister of State Revenues Davit Ananyan.

“There have been conversations in the Prime Minister’s cabinet sometimes saying that those spikes that you are closing will lead to economic collapse this year. I reiterate that all this is contrary to the state governance system, contrary to the ministries; enough of this hypocrisy, let’s do something about it. The fight against corruption in Armenia is happening against the backdrop of the state governance system, and from time to time the legal system needs to be asked, 'well, what happened?',” he said, noting that excuses will always be found.

“The whole state system is resisting the revolution, and I will break that resistance, there is no other option since the people of the Republic of Armenia have personally given me a vote and they have voted for our political force for changes to take place in this country,” he said, adding that this strategy has been discussed with him twice. “You could say, who is the SRC that wrote the strategy? You wrote it, who held your hand?” the Prime Minister added. It should be noted that the strategy was unanimously approved by the government members.
