National Assembly Passes All Proposals at Extraordinary Session
The National Assembly today accepted all 10 proposals discussed during the extraordinary session.
Four loan agreements were approved, which commit Armenia to an additional obligation of $152 million. In the case of these loan agreements, the “My Step” faction voted in favor, the Prosperous Armenia Party voted against, and the Luys Foundation abstained.
The National Assembly voted in favor of the law on ratifying the loan agreement between Armenia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development regarding the 'Budgetary, Economic, and Public Sector Management Development Policy Loan.' The Prosperous Armenia faction voted against, the Luys Foundation abstained, and “My Step” supported the proposal. The project was accepted with a vote count of 70 in favor, 23 against, and 14 abstentions. Three absent MPs had left their votes in favor.
For the loan agreement between Armenia and the Asian Development Bank regarding the 'Second Public Efficiency and Financial Markets Program,' 70 MPs voted in favor, 3 MPs left their votes in favor, 23 voted against, and 14 abstained.
Similarly, for the loan agreement between Armenia and the Bank for Reconstruction and Development on 'Policy-Based Loan - Environmental Protection - BMZ 3010 00 579, Loan N 29426,' 70 MPs voted in favor, with 3 MPs leaving their votes in favor. 22 MPs voted against this proposal, and 15 abstained.
