I Don't Know What Deep State Means, Says Aghajanyan

I don't know what deep state means. This was stated today, on December 12, during a conversation with journalists by the Head of the Prime Minister's Office, Edward Aghajanyan.

When asked what Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan meant when he said that the state system is resisting the revolution, Aghajanyan replied, "You probably need to ask him."

In clarifying that this refers to shadow agreements, he said, "There can't be talk of shadow agreements. I believe the Prime Minister was referring to the way the system existed previously, which operates with a certain logic, and it's not easy to place that logic into a new framework and operate it."

Journalists were curious whether this announcement means there will be radical changes in the system. Aghajanyan expressed the opinion that significant changes are regularly happening within the system: "Nothing is excluded, but there is no need to look for anything extraordinary in the Prime Minister's statement."
