«Hraparak». Who from 'My Step' Did Not Participate in the Voting on the Constitutional Court Judges Law

«Hraparak» newspaper reports that the law sending Constitutional Court judges into early retirement was fully adopted yesterday. Despite being a matter of life and death for the government, the bill received 82 votes in favor, one of which came from the independently declared Arman Babajanyan. Out of the 88 members of the 'My Step' faction, 7 did not participate in the voting, nor did they leave any 'notes' regarding how to vote, as Gevorg Petrosyan described it, which has sparked intense discussions within 'My Step'.

The absentees were Maria Karapetyan, Arsen Julfalakyan, Artak Manukyan, member of the legal committee Arusyag Julhakyan, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Karen Sarukhanyan, and Aren Mkrtchyan. Notably, Takhuhy Tovmasyan was registered for the first reading but did not vote, saying, "I had a class at the Academy of Governance at that time, from which I could not be absent." Recently, during a faction meeting, Nikol Pashinyan expressed dissatisfaction with the behavior of Constitutional Court member Vahe Grigoryan, stating that it was unclear what he wanted, and the members of 'My Step' were unsure how to orient themselves in the uncertainty regarding their voting. Another explanation is that internal divisions within 'My Step,' contrary to denials, are deepening increasingly.
