Father Witnesses His 22-Year-Old Daughter Being Struck by a Vehicle on Yerevan-Sevan Road
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a criminal case has been opened under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, based on the decision of Vigen Margaryan, senior investigator of particularly important cases at the Kotayk regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. It was determined that on December 10, on the 15 km section of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, a citizen of Yerevan, 30-year-old Tigran Vardanyan, drove his Lexus vehicle with license plate 50 TT 055, resulting in the death of a pedestrian.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the deceased was identified as 22-year-old Rima Grigoryan, a resident of Hrazdan. According to the photojournalist's sources, she was traveling with her father to Hrazdan when he parked the vehicle, and while the girl was attempting to cross the road to reach the opposite lane to make purchases from 'Forest Sounds' company, a speeding Lexus struck her before she could cross.
Her father witnessed the entire incident. By the investigator’s decision, T. Vardanyan was subjected to a sobriety test, which revealed that he was sober at the time of the incident.
