Arsen Babayan: The Investigative Committee Still Refuses to Abandon My Imprisonment
Arsen Babayan, the former deputy head of the National Assembly staff, has stated on his Facebook page: “I have fully familiarized myself with the materials of the criminal case attributed to me (5 volumes). It became clear upon reviewing the materials that the investigator of the Investigative Committee has worked diligently and has completely proven that this criminal case should be urgently dismissed on the grounds of the absence of a crime.
Note: The absence of a crime means that no incident has occurred at all (nothing has happened), as opposed to the absence of elements of a crime, where an incident has taken place (something happened), but that something is not a crime.
Note 2: Even after all this, the Investigative Committee refuses to abandon sending me to prison and has forwarded the case to the prosecutor...
