Armenian and Local Artists Will Perform on New Year's Eve: Hakob Karapetyan Responds to Armen Movsisyan

The spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “The esteemed Armen Movsisyan has regretfully noted that on New Year's Eve, a non-Armenian artist invited from abroad will perform in the square. I would like to inform you that on New Year's Eve, Armenian and local artists will also be present, and in general, concerts will continue in the square and surrounding areas, with various artists and groups performing from December 21 to January 13.”

It should be recalled that earlier, singer-songwriter Armen Movsisyan had stated: “Honestly, I feel sorry for the Armenian artists. When a public event is funded not for local artists but for a star from abroad.”
