What Assets Does the Kocharyan Family Own? Exclusive Details from the Criminal Case
1-in.am reports: "After the initiation of the March 1 criminal case, and even before that, there has been constant discussion and media coverage regarding the assets of former President Robert Kocharyan, which they have vehemently denied. The Kocharyans have flooded the courts with lawsuits against media outlets and individuals who dared to write about their assets.
Recent documents from the March 1 case have surfaced, clearly outlining the Kocharyan family's assets, which we present below.
So, Robert Kocharyan, registered at 23/7 Isakov Avenue in Yerevan, has the house at the same address registered under his name. Robert Kocharyan's eldest son, Sedrak Kocharyan, has several properties registered in his name: area numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 10 in building 8 on Paronyan Street, apartment number 41 in the same building, a parking space number 11, and an apartment number 22 at 41 Tumanyan Street in Yerevan, as well as a plot of land in Tsaghkadzor, Kotayk Province, and 14 plots of land in Talvorik community in Armavir Province.
Sedrak Kocharyan's wife, Zarouhi Badalyan, has property registered in her name: the construction at 41 Tumanyan Street, apartment number 22 at the same address, area number 24 at the same address, areas 6 and 15 at building 6 on Northern Avenue, house number 4 on Arabkir Street, and plots of land in Akunk village, Kotayk Province.
Robert Kocharyan's younger son, Levon Kocharyan, has registered two apartments number 10 and 38 in building 9 on Abovyan Street in Yerevan, as well as areas 106 and 117 in building 10 on Vazgen Sargsyan Street. Levon Kocharyan is also the president of the Armenian National Triathlon Federation. He owns the public organization "Armenian Snowboarding National Federation" and "Transport Development Consortium" LLC, as well as "Spacemanagement" LLC. Levon Kocharyan owns Lexus LX 570 with license plate 80 OO 008, Toyota RAV 4 with license plate 80 UU 008, and VAZ 2101 with license plate 16 UO 948.
Levon Kocharyan's wife, Siranuhi Kocharyan, a well-known singer, has areas 106 and 117 registered in her name in building 10 on Vazgen Sargsyan Street, as well as "Sirushov Production" LLC.
Robert Kocharyan's daughter, Gayane Kocharyan, has apartments number 28 and 42 in building 66 on Teryan Street in Yerevan registered under her name, as well as "Al Parko Hotels" LLC, "ANES Service" LLC, "Appeisment" LLC, "Amer" LLC, and "FormProject" LLC, and a Toyota RAV 4 with license plate 10 NN 100.
Gayane Kocharyan's husband, Vigen Chatinyan, has property registered in his name at house number 27/9 on Isakov Avenue and house number 25/5 on Komitas Avenue in Yerevan, as well as several businesses including "V and P Thivel" LLC, "Bars Plus" LLC, "ANES Service" LLC, "Union of Appraisers" LLC, "Indopaypr" LLC, "Eco Air" LLC, and "Tickets.am" LLC.
Between 2017 and 2018, Robert Kocharyan received around 213 million AMD equivalent from various legal entities. He transferred the equivalent of 486 million 600 thousand AMD for the purchase of value bonds. During the same period, he made cash deposits amounting to approximately 95 million 600 thousand AMD and made cash withdrawals of 13 million AMD. In 2017-2018, he made deposits of around 2 billion 77 million AMD equivalent and withdrew 2 billion 400 million AMD equivalent.
Sedrak Kocharyan received an equivalent of 1 billion 537 million AMD from various individuals and legal entities during 2017-2018 and transferred about 855 million AMD equivalent. He made cash deposits of about 191 million AMD and withdrew 211 million AMD. During the same period, he deposited approximately 2 billion 259 million AMD equivalent and withdrew 2 billion 172 million AMD equivalent. In 2008, he acquired a total of 145 million 100 thousand AMD worth of securities.
Gayane Kocharyan deposited around 240 million AMD equivalent as a deposit during 2016-2017 and withdrew 256 million AMD equivalent.
Zarouhi Badalyan received an equivalent of around 21 million AMD from Sedrak Kocharyan in 2018 and that same year transferred securities worth 145 million AMD to Sedrak Kocharyan.
Levon Kocharyan received about 428 million AMD from "Nairi Insurance" LLC during 2017-2018 and transferred around 758 million AMD equivalent to various individuals and legal entities. During the same period, he made cash deposits of around 459 million AMD equivalent and withdrew 141 million AMD equivalent. In 2017, he deposited approximately 440 million AMD equivalent and withdrew 580 million AMD equivalent in 2017-2018.
Note: This is everything they have officially registered in their names. It is also clear that there may be more than presented, possibly registered under the names of their acquaintances and relatives, which has been a common mechanism since Kocharyan's presidency to conceal their substantial assets."
