VIDEO: 48 Vehicles Collide Due to Snowstorm, Injured Hospitalized

In the Primorsky region of Russia, near the village of New De-Freeze on the Khabarovsk-Vladivostok highway, 48 vehicles collided due to snow and ice conditions. According to the regional traffic police, traffic in that area has been temporarily halted. This has been reported by the RIA Novosti agency.

As a result of the accident, 12 people with varying degrees of bodily injury have been taken to the hospital. Police officers are regulating traffic at the scene.

The regional authorities have advised to shorten working hours, as heavy snowfall and increased winds are expected after 4:00 PM, according to hydrometeorological service reports.
