Hidden Mobile Phones Discovered by Customs Control

The employees of the Fighting Against Smuggling Department of the State Revenue Committee recently conducted an inspection at the Bagratashen border checkpoint on a vehicle operated by a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, G.Sh., who arrived from Georgia, as reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the State Revenue Committee.

As a result of the inspection, the department's employees discovered 185 mobile phones of various models, including "Apple," "Samsung," and others. The phones were concealed in bags hidden under the seats of the vehicle's interior, in the front refrigerator, and in the storage compartments above the seats.

In connection with this fact, materials have been prepared in the Department for Combating Smuggling of the State Revenue Committee under Article 201 of the Customs Code of the Republic of Armenia and submitted to the Legal Department of the State Revenue Committee.
