Sotk-Karvachar and Vardenyats Mountain Pass Open

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of December 10 at 23:30, the roads throughout the Republic of Armenia are mainly passable. The Sotk-Karvachar highway and the Vardenyats Mountain Pass are open for all types of vehicles, while trucks are permitted with the use of tire chains.

However, there are patches of black ice present on the Sotk-Karvachar highway, at the Vardenyats Mountain Pass, and along the Saravan-Zanger stretch. In the city of Ashtarak in the Aragatsotn Province, fog has been reported.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetian Emergency Situations Ministry of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
