Notable Details on the Destroyed NSS Documents Case
The newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’ reports that new details have emerged regarding the documents destroyed by the National Security Service (NSS). According to the former head of the NSS’s Main Directorate for Constitutional Security, Public Order, and the Fight Against Terrorism, Major General Tigran Barseghyan, the destroyed materials have a direct link to the March 1 case. However, the revelations do not stop there.
In an interview with the newspaper, Barseghyan stated that former NSS director Gorik Hakobyan did not only destroy documents related to March 1 but also many documents concerning the state. “These relate to assistance provided to Armenia by international organizations and, in general, diplomatic structures, regarding issues such as the Artsakh problem and economic matters. If these can be beneficial, and they could be beneficial to the current Prime Minister due to his political line, I am ready to disclose their locations so that they can be found and published,” he said.
