For a Decent Salary, Transitioning to Hourly Wages is Possible. Zohrap Eghanyan

User Zohrap Eghanyan stated on his Facebook page: “Under current price conditions, especially in Yerevan, offering a salary of 70,000 to 80,000 drams for a full day of work should not be legislatively considered a job, and that person should not be regarded as unemployed. This is merely survival money; for a family of four to live properly, at least 400,000 drams per month is necessary. No matter how much we say there is this much growth in terms of indicators, a person must feel the improvement in their social situation; otherwise, emigration will continue. However, unlike previous years, people do not go to insult the authorities, at least not until now.

To have a decent salary, we can transition to hourly wages or set a higher threshold for full-time salaries. It is unacceptable for a senior specialist in public service or a contract serviceman to earn less than a taxi driver. Unfortunately, in this country, not everyone can work in the IT sector or have business acumen.

P.S. Particularly, my posts about military service have almost become legislative initiatives by parliamentarians. I hope my public statements regarding hourly work and the establishment of a 13th pension will also receive a response. If we cannot improve the social situation, everything else is meaningless, and so far, we have not succeeded in organizing the situation.”
