Ministry of Defense to Conduct Draft Selection for Conscripts

Within the framework of the winter draft, the Ministry of Defense will conduct a selection of conscripts who are subject to mandatory military service in order to assign them to the honor guard unit of the armed forces. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

“The conscript selection will take place on December 19 and 20 in the area of military unit N,” the statement reads. Citizens subject to conscription who wish to serve in the honor guard unit can apply to territorial military commissariats until December 17.

To serve in the honor guard, conscripts must be between 180 and 190 cm tall, must not have tattoos or visible scars on their face or other visible parts of the body, and must maintain a regular weight-height ratio. In making selections, beautiful and proportionate facial features, as well as the ability to perceive sound without any correction and with accurate color perception at a distance of at least 6 meters are also taken into account.
