Group Behind Armed Robberies in Several Cities Identified

On December 6, the police received a report indicating that three individuals, impersonating acquaintances of a family, illegally entered a house in the village of Mayakovski. They threatened the homeowner with weapons and stole gold jewelry, cash, and a luxury watch, causing approximately 2,000,000 AMD in damages.

Thanks to joint efforts from several police departments, on the same day, a 23-year-old man was taken into custody from 5th Street in Mayakovski, while two residents from Gyumri, aged 27 and 21, were apprehended on the Gyumri-Vanadzor road. They confessed to their crimes and were arrested.

It has also been revealed that these individuals had recently committed a series of armed robberies in Yerevan, Abovyan, and Armavir.

The investigation is ongoing.
