Former Journalists of H1 Win Case Against Public Television Company
The Administrative Court, presided over by Samvel Hovakimyan, just moments ago delivered a completely just verdict, satisfying my and Liana's lawsuit against the illegal decision of the Television and Radio Board. This is what the former journalist of the Public Television News Service, Siranush Muradyan, wrote on her Facebook page today, December 9, noting that she and Liana Karapetyan were dismissed at the end of last year.
She specifically wrote: "VICTORY! For the Republic of Armenia... The Administrative Court, presided over by Samvel Hovakimyan, just moments ago delivered a completely just verdict, satisfying my and Liana's lawsuit against the illegal decision of the Television and Radio Board. Lawyer Tigran Ghazaryan's defense was virtuoso... we are grateful."
It is worth recalling that at the beginning of the year, the newly appointed director of the Public Television News Service, Petros Ghazaryan, had reduced the number of long-serving journalists, citing their status as "old employees." Following this, two of them, Siranush Muradyan and Liana Karapetyan, filed a lawsuit to contest the decision regarding their dismissals.
