A Drop of Honey Story: Brawl at 'Solo' Karaoke Club Turns into a Riot
Last night, a dispute escalated into a brawl in Yerevan. The "red berets" of the Yerevan city police's special response unit intervened on Khanjian Street to prevent the altercation.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the "red berets" arrested several individuals while they were attacking each other. Had the "red berets" not been in the right place at the right time and had they not subdued the individuals involved, the heated situation could have escalated further.
Several citizens gathered at the scene, who refused to speak in front of the camera, mentioned, "We heard that those at the 'Solo' karaoke club were seated, eating and drinking together, and then in the end, a drop of honey story turned into a riot. If the berets had arrived a little later, there might have been dead bodies taken from here. They took several people, two of whom were covered in blood."
According to G. Shamshyan's information, the individuals have been detained and taken to the Central Police Department, where materials are being prepared concerning the incident.
