Intoxicated Driver Hits 10 Children in Nizhny Novgorod

An intoxicated driver in Nizhny Novgorod has hit 10 children and one adult while they were attempting to cross the street at a crosswalk, according to reports from RIA Novosti.

The injured have been transported to the hospital. The regional traffic police reported that the children were crossing the street in a group to go to the theater. One of the children is undergoing surgery.

Mayor Vladimir Panov is present at the scene. Russian media outlets have indicated that the driver was inebriated and has had their driving license revoked.
