Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is currently delivering a concluding speech in the National Assembly regarding the state budget. "Things are good, dear people," he noted.
Since 2018, Armenia's defense budget has increased by 66 billion drams. According to Armenpress, Pashinyan said this during discussions on the draft law on the "2020 State Budget of the Republic of Armenia" in the National Assembly on December 6.
"This is a topic we obviously can’t discuss much, but I want to say that since 2018, including the 2020 budget, we have increased the defense budget by 66 billion drams, which constitutes approximately 28%. But I want to say something with difficulty: you can be assured that since May 2018, Armenia has acquired an unprecedented amount of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment compared to the visible time period, and the Armenian government will clearly continue this policy aimed at restoring military balance in the region. I want to say that serious steps have already been taken in this regard," said Pashinyan.
