Last Statements of Lavrov and Peskov: The Underlying Messages

According to the publication 'Hraparak', the recent statements by Lavrov and Peskov beg the question: were they not trolling regarding issues related to the relations between the Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Artsakh and addressing Pashinyan as 'Gaspadin President' for the sake of concessions in Nagorno-Karabakh?

We asked a source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they replied, 'Absolutely not. Lavrov was simply confused. As for Armenian-Russian relations, they can indeed be considered unprecedented, especially given that Russia appreciates Armenia's decision to send sappers to Syria, alongside remaining steps directed towards Russia.'

Among those steps is also the withdrawal regarding the project associated with security forces. 'It's a matter of clarification; I'd like to draw your attention to the gas issue. Note that, unlike Ukraine, which is not receiving gas during these cold winter days (up until now, it has no contract with Russia, including regarding transit to Europe), discussions on Armenia's gas price issue have been postponed until spring. Moreover, Nagorno-Karabakh is in very good condition, and Lavrov also stated that Artsakh should become a negotiating party.'

Additionally, there's the nuance regarding the issue of R. Kocharyan, which Russia no longer raises as sharply as before; take note of what Lavrov said about the exclusion of Nagorno-Karabakh from the negotiation process.'

What about the scandal related to the recall of Khachaturov from the CSTO? 'This too was not as big of an oversight as you might think. In any case, it is clear that no major mistakes have been made in relations with Russia.'
