Arsen Aghajanyan Nominated for the President of the Football Federation of Armenia

The Chairman of the National Commission on Television and Radio, Tigran Hakobyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "Arsen Aghajanyan has been nominated for the President of the Football Federation of Armenia by FC Pyunik. We are friends with Arsen, and this friendship has allowed me to observe (and at times participate in) his numerous educational, social, and sports initiatives and programs, which cannot simply be summarized in a Facebook status.

Arsen possesses systematic and strategic thinking, innovative ideas, a wide range of interests (he holds a doctorate in history, is an inventor, screenwriter, and director—his feature film 'I Will Gift You Victory' was recently screened in cinemas across Armenia), fantastic diligence, management skills, and considerable influence among impactful individuals and organizations in various countries. This is Arsen.

Three years ago, faced with the joint dirty actions of several influential representatives of the government and criminal circles, Arsen nearly halted the implementation of his projects and his presence in Armenia. However, after the revolution, he returned to his homeland with his large family and four children.

I am convinced that if we want to succeed in Armenian football and fundamentally change the polluted football environment, we need a leader like Arsen who has no economic interests or obligations to any club, and is not 'appointed' by any political power or financial group. It is time to say goodbye to the old ways; otherwise, we will face yet another fiasco.

Thus, it would be prudent for the football organizations electing the President of the Football Federation to stand at least once above their group interests and make a conscious choice, which certainly requires will. Even if we do not possess that will, simply ensure fair competitive conditions and try not to resort to propaganda black tricks. I assure you, I am better versed in that toolkit than you.

And I, along with hundreds of others who share my views, will help Arsen, not just Arsen, but Armenian football… Yes, in the village of Tsaghkunk in Gegharkunik, Arsen built a school connected to the community, equipped with smart boards, halls, and various sports clubs. And the Tsaghkunk Open School was the most athletic school...
