US Tightens Sanctions Against Russia

The US Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on Russian companies and individuals that it believes are linked to cybercrimes.

“The US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has taken actions against the Russian company Evil Corp, which is responsible for the development and dissemination of the Dridex viral software,” the department stated, as reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noteworthy that Russian citizens have been arrested in the US on charges of cybercrime.
