The Road Police Calls for Drivers’ Attention
Due to an unprecedented increase in the number of vehicles imported in 2019, the protective layers used for printing registration certificates and driver's licenses for vehicles subject to state registration have been depleted in the registration-examination territorial subdivisions, and the delivery of new quantities may take about a month.
According to point 30 of chapter 7 of the second annex approved by the Government of Armenia’s decision No. 1251-N dated September 09, 2010, if it is not possible to issue the registration certificate on the day of registration (re-registration) due to technical or other reasons, a temporary registration certificate valid for up to one month is issued to the vehicle owner (representative), in accordance with the form established by the order No. 2080-A of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia dated October 05, 2010.
Furthermore, in accordance with point 3 of the decision No. 1158-N of the Government of Armenia dated September 18, 2008, when it is not possible to prepare a driver's license due to technical reasons, a temporary driver's license is immediately issued to the person, which is subject to return.
Apologizing for the inconvenience to drivers, it is also clarified that when traveling abroad during the validity period of the temporary registration certificate, it is necessary to have a translated version of the temporary registration certificate.
