Draft Law on Mobile Coffee Shops Approved in First Reading
The National Assembly today approved in the first reading a draft law regulating the activities of mobile coffee shops, which sets standards for organizing such trade.
The "My Step" and "Enlightened Armenia" factions voted in favor, while members of the Prosperous Armenia faction voted against.
According to the draft, the permits for the operation of these vehicles will be issued by the Mayor of Yerevan. These commercial points will be required to pay a certain amount to the community budget, and their locations will change periodically. It is expected that the permits will be granted on a daily basis, although representatives of these trade points are not in favor of this.
To prevent the sale of alcohol to minors, the operation of these points will be prohibited near educational and cultural institutions, in public places, and so on.
