Abraham Gasparyan to Host Main News Program on Armnews

Journalist and television commentator Abraham Gasparyan is leaving the Public Television Company after 13 years to join Armnews. At his new workplace, the television commentary program will be titled "Evening News with Abraham Gasparyan."

“What will be on Armnews is what has been lacking and is needed in the Armenian media landscape. We will discuss the hubs of problems, and we will not only point them out but also outline solutions,” said Gasparyan.

“After my Facebook post announcing my departure, I received various offers for exactly two weeks. Among the significant reasons for choosing Armnews were the ideological commonalities in the way information is presented and the approaches taken, as well as the presence of a young, mobile, and vibrant team at Armnews. These are people who have a sense of responsibility towards the country, the state, and society. The work of this team can be doubled to achieve brilliant results,” he added.

“The diligent workers in the media landscape are trying to make their voices heard at Armnews. I have come to double that strength. This is a very important circumstance. This is not a dead team, a dead editorial office; this is a living editorial office, and every employee can be seen in any street of Yerevan or in any region of Armenia when discussing problems. This is an important factor,” Abraham Gasparyan concluded.
