Are Threats Facing Nikol Pashinyan? The Number of Bodyguards Increases Daily
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community at the Holy Forty Martyrs Church in Milan on November 21, a scandalous incident occurred. Azerbaijani videoblogger Ata Abdulayev entered the church and posed questions to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
In this context, the newspaper sought clarifications from Gevorg Movsisyan, the head of the Protection Service of the National Security Service of Armenia, specifically inquiring about the reason behind the near-total change in the composition of the bodyguards responsible for the Prime Minister's safety, and the fact that their numbers are increasing daily.
Given these changes, is the Prime Minister facing any threats? Moreover, what guarantees are there that such incidents will not recur during upcoming meetings with high-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan?
According to the clarifications provided by Movsisyan to the newspaper, there is no reason for alarm or suspicion. “I would like to inform you that the Protection Service is fully carrying out its functions as prescribed by law, particularly ensuring the safety of the Prime Minister of Armenia, as well as other individuals as required by law,” Movsisyan stated.
