VIDEO: The Economic Revolution Has Nothing to Do with Corruption, Tsarukyan Says
In a conversation with journalists, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, commented on the words of Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan, who stated that the absence of corruption is a sign of an economic revolution.
Gagik Tsarukyan particularly said: “The economic revolution has nothing to do with corruption. For an economic revolution to occur, money must be invested in sectors to allow people to make money.”
According to Tsarukyan, the capital expenditures of 400 million dollars, which were supposed to be used to develop sectors for an annual growth of 5-15 percent, are sitting in the bank with interest. “They take loans, bring them here, but instead of using them, they put them in the bank. We haven’t made capital expenditures; how can there be an economic revolution?”
