The Location of Kostanyan is Known: Emails Have Been Sent
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" writes: "Search" in the Armenian explanatory dictionary means to search or seek with the aim of finding. According to Article 259 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, "The search for the accused means establishing their location, arresting the accused, and handing them over to the authority conducting the proceedings.
As is known, on November 28, the Special Investigative Service declared a search for former Chief Prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan, who has been involved as an accused in the March 1 case. However, it has been published many times, and Kostanyan himself has stated several times that he is in Moscow and teaching at the Academy of the Prosecutor General of Russia.
Yesterday, the newspaper's editorial office received photographs of Kostanyan's lectures via email. Thus, attempting to pinpoint or discover where Kostanyan is seems like a farce, as it is not news that he has been teaching, and therefore his location has been established. From the very first days, Kostanyan himself declared his whereabouts, occupation, and position. So, for which audience is this loud announcement of declaring a search intended?
Note that Kostanyan has stated that illegal criminal prosecution is being carried out against him, but he will legally condemn the current head of the Special Investigative Service, Sasun Khachatryan.
