Lionel Messi Wins Ballon d'Or for the 6th Time

Lionel Messi, forward for the Argentina national team and FC Barcelona, has won the Ballon d'Or for the sixth time. The award ceremony took place in Paris. According to the voting conducted by 'France Football,' Messi was awarded the prestigious Ballon d'Or.

During the evening, the 'Best Young Player' award went to Matthijs de Ligt of the Netherlands national team and Juventus. The best goalkeeper award named after Lev Yashin, presented for the first time in history, was awarded to Alisson Becker of Brazil and Liverpool.

Messi previously won this award in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015.
