FC Pyunik Nominates Arsen Aghajanyan for HFF President

Armenia's silver medalist FC Pyunik has made an announcement regarding the upcoming elections for the president of the Football Federation of Armenia (HFF).

"Dear football fans, we would like to inform you that for the HFF presidential elections scheduled for December 23, FC Pyunik has nominated Arsen Aghajanyan as its candidate. Let us explain why our choice has fallen on Mr. Aghajanyan:

The new HFF president should not have ties with any club in the Armenian league. Furthermore, we emphasize that the new president must be a person devoted to football who desires to enact fundamental changes in Armenian football and will do everything possible to revitalize it.

In the opinion of FC Pyunik, Arsen Aghajanyan fully meets all these criteria. He is a major businessman, has lived in Russia and Cyprus for many years, has made systemic changes in all sectors he has led, and enjoys a good reputation in various business circles across several countries. He has implemented and continues to participate in dozens of educational, social, and sports projects in Armenia.

Mr. Aghajanyan holds a doctorate in historical sciences and is an award-winning film director and screenwriter at prestigious film festivals.

Over the years, Arsen Aghajanyan has consistently provided financial assistance to his homeland, funded youth teams in Armenia, and notably sponsored the football team of the 'Tsaghkunk Open School' foundation for about eight years (creating a football field, paying the coach’s salary, providing sports uniforms, and other equipment).

For many years, A. Aghajanyan has contributed to the development of football in Armenian communities abroad. He is the founder and sponsor of the 'Ararat' football club in Cyprus, as well as a friend and sponsor of youth Armenian football clubs operating in various regions of Russia.

Years ago, Arsen Aghajanyan desired to establish a football club in Armenia as well; however, the football reality at that time was not conducive to realizing that project.

Months ago, Arsen Aghajanyan, together with his large family, returned to Armenia to establish permanent residence in his homeland and has continued to implement public benefit projects with renewed vigor.
