Around 230 Trucks Accumulate at Lars
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that as of December 2 at 12:11 PM, there are closed and difficult passages on highways in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik region) and the Sotk-Karvachar highway are closed for trucks with trailers, while for others, passage is difficult. Snowfall has been reported in the cities of Sevan and Jambarak in Gegharkunik province, as well as in the city of Spitak in Lori province, and in the regions of Tsakhkadzor in Aragatsotn province and Ashotsk in Shirak province. Fog is present on the Sotk-Karvachar highway.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is closed for trucks with trailers, but open for others. Additionally, information received from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia headquarters indicates that there are approximately 230 trucks accumulated on the Russian side.
