Football Clubs' Statement: A Process of Healthcare for HFF Members Must Take Place

The representatives of the Armenian Premier League football clubs "Pyunik", "Ararat", and "Shirak" have issued a joint statement regarding the upcoming elections for the President of the Armenian Football Federation (HFF) and the composition of its executive committee.

As is known, on December 23, an extraordinary meeting of HFF members will be held, during which the HFF President and a new executive committee will be elected.

On the eve of this crucial event for Armenian football, we, the football clubs "Pyunik", "Ararat", and "Shirak", present the following joint statement:

We express our full support for the statement made after the last meeting of the HFF executive committee, which emphasizes that a process of healthcare for the members of the HFF must take place.

We are convinced that before the election of the HFF President and the new executive committee, it is crucial to ensure that organizations that do not meet the requirements of the HFF charter, do not effectively engage in football activities, and only emerge during elections, are removed from the membership list of the HFF and are not permitted to participate in the elections.

We are convinced that such organizations have no legal or moral right to participate in making important decisions related to Armenian football.

Therefore, it is essential first to ensure the healthcare of the list of HFF members, after which the elections for the HFF President and executive committee can be organized. Only this process will ensure legitimate, transparent elections that enjoy the trust of the football community.

We believe that we now have a unique opportunity to establish a truly independent, professional football governing body that will work for the benefit of all Armenian football, and we cannot afford to miss this opportunity.

We urge other football clubs and representatives of the football community to join our call,” the clubs' statement reads.
