Eight Arrested in Iran for Alleged Links to U.S. Intelligence Agencies
Eight individuals have been arrested in Iran during ongoing protests, who, according to the Iranian authorities, are connected to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States. This was reported by ISNA agency.
According to Iran's Ministry of Information, six of those arrested were participating in the protests and were allegedly carrying out orders from intelligence agencies. Two others were said to have taken part in the demonstrations to gather information to pass on to the U.S.
Protests are ongoing in several cities across Iran against rising gasoline prices.
