Putin Talks About His Dreams in Youth

Russian President Vladimir Putin has shared that in his youth, he had to choose among numerous professions, including that of a sailor and a pilot. However, he stressed that one should "try" all professions in life and "choose their own." This was reported by tass.ru.

During the "ПроеКТОриЯ" forum held in Yaroslavl on November 26, which President Putin attended via a video bridge, a student asked him for advice on choosing a future profession. Putin responded that each person can only answer this question for themselves, and that it is "a very complicated path."

"Like you, I have stood before choices: what to do, where to go, what to become," the president recounted, noting that he had deep discussions on this matter with his parents and his coach from the sports club "Турбостроитель" in Leningrad, where he practiced sports.

"I personally had various desires; I wanted to be both a sailor and a pilot. I carefully observed, studied, and 'tried on' these professions for myself," Putin stated.

The president mentioned that he would visit relevant institutions and training centers to watch what people were doing, how they spoke, and what was happening around them. "That is what trying on is," noted the Russian leader.

He advised the youth to also try out various fields of work, whether at the table, near technical devices, or at the helm of a ship. "You sit down, take a pen, and begin to think and create. You stand near a technical device, and so on. You must experience all of this for yourself and feel whether you will engage in it for your entire life. Will you enjoy going to work in the morning, or not? And when you find that line for yourself, then you will understand: this is mine. However, this choice alone is not enough. You then have to work hard. Every day. And here, of course, a great deal of effort must be put in to achieve results," said the Russian President.
