Khoren Hovhannisyan Ready to Lead Armenian Football Federation
Legendary Armenian football player Khoren Hovhannisyan will contend for the vacant position of president of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).
“We have not yet received any documents from the Football Federation regarding the presidential elections, and we do not know what regulations will govern them. Regardless of everything, I will submit my candidacy for the FFA presidential elections. Currently, we are working on a football development program,” Hovhannisyan told A1+ News. He is also the president of the newly established Yerevan 'Ani' football club.
By the way, the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) recently announced the process for electing the federation's president and executive committee.
The FFA must complete the filtering process of its 34 member public organizations (NGOs) by December 23, after which the election of the FFA president and 16 members of the executive committee will take place. The executive committee will decide, based on reports from the FFA secretariat, which NGOs' memberships will be suspended in the upcoming meeting. Until December 2, the NGOs must present one candidate each for the executive committee and for the position of FFA president.
It is noteworthy that on November 21, FFA president Arthur Vanetsyan submitted his resignation. The composition of the executive committee will be dissolved on December 23.
