The Minister of Environment of Armenia, Erik Grigoryan, made a post on Facebook stating, “Forest restoration is not an easy task; enormous work is done before planting, and it takes 8-10 years for the saplings to turn into a forest with proper care. This year, we will plant about half a million trees, which will serve as a preparatory exercise for the 10 million project planned for next year, which in its turn will be a warm-up for the planting of hundreds of millions of trees planned by 2050.
