Two Individuals Who Killed 'Thieves-in-Law' in Sukhum Have Crossed the Georgian Border
Yesterday afternoon, three masked assailants opened fire from a car at visitors of the 'San Remo' café in the center of Sukhum, the capital of Abkhazia. As a result, two men sustained fatal injuries. These men were of high status within the criminal hierarchy.
The deceased were identified as 38-year-old Astamur Shambayev (Astik) and his contemporary Alkhaz Avizba (Khasik). It was later confirmed that the two individuals who died on the spot were 'thieves-in-law.'
Subsequent reports indicated that the assailants managed to cross the Georgian border. In response, the Abkhaz authorities temporarily closed the Georgian-Abkhazian border at the Inguri River for men.
